Lord Lymond Hightower was a member of House Hightower. He is best known for having been the primary supporter of the First Targaryen Rebellion.
Lymond Hightower took Alerie Oakheart as his first wife. They had two children together: Baelor, and Malora. Alerie died following complications with the delivery of her second child.
When Matarys Targaryen arrived in Oldtown that same year, Lord Lymond was so taken with his youngest sister that he took her as his second wife, binding the two houses together. Ceryse, a daughter, was the only issue of the marriage.
There are some that speculate that Lymond fell prey to the seductive wiles of Rhaelle Targaryen, and would never have otherwise supported the Targaryens' claim to the throne in a bid to overthrow the reigning House Blackfyre had he not fallen victim to her manipulation. It is further rumored that Rhaelle wanted to follow her brother to Dragonstone, and fell into despair when her husband wouldn't allow her to leave Oldtown, refusing to share a bed with Lymond thereafter.
The Targaryen woman threw herself from the top of the Hightower in 390 when news was received of her brother's death, prior to her husband's own passing that same year.
