Brea Mallister was the youngest child and only daughter of the Savior of Seagard, Lord Patrek Mallister, and his wife, Bethany Blackwood. She became head of House Mallister and Lady of Seagard following the War for the Dawn.

History[]

Early Life- The Long Night[]

Born in the midst of the Long Night in 312 AC, Brea spent the first half of her live in the dead of winter. She was only a child during the Sacking of Seagard, when her father tragically died saving her house's lands from the monstrous Others and their wights.

Following Patrek's death, Brea watched as her three elder brothers joined King Aegon VI Blackfyre in defending the realm of men. The Mallisters were some of the first lords to answer the call-to-arms, setting the roots for a friendship that would last a century.

Throughout the remainder of the Long Night, Brea remained in Seagard, far too young to join her brothers, yet not so young as to not assist in protecting her home.

One by one, news came to Brea that her brothers died in the War for the Dawn; the last messenger returning the youngest brother, Robb, from the Battle of the Wall where he assisted in the Living's final assault. With Robb's death, the male line of House Mallister went extinct and Brea was named Lady of Seagard in 340 AC, at the age of eight and twenty.

Reign- 340-375 AC.[]

Brea ruled Seagard and the Cape of Eagles for over three decades, eventually marrying Olyvar Bracken, son of Lady Barbara Bracken of Stone Hedge and Olyvar Frey. She continuing her family's support for the Blackfyres.

During the rule of King Maegor II, Brea personally saw to the expulsion of the bulk of wights still remaining in the northern regions of the Riverlands, including the Cape of Eagles itself. Like her brothers and father, Lady Brea found herself quite skilled with the blade, and she led most of the assaults on the winter creatures.

Despite her success with ruling Seagard and protecting her home however, Brea faced a desperate challenge in her personal life- she and her husband could not produce an heir, leaving Seagard's fate a mystery. It was not until 357 AC, much later in her life, at the senior age of 45, and only after her husband successfully conceived a bastard with a serving girl, Brea gave birth to the future Lord of Seagard, Alyx Mallister.

Death- 375 AC.[]
